CraftingCool™ Presents: canna&cid a debut album by @curatorchi (07/11/2025)
A ten-track, 30-minute, and 30-second journey with a unique 5x5 structure:
• Tracks 1-5 Side A: Afrocentric and house-inspired beats with Jersey club influences, capturing the international and African diaspora vibe. The subject matter is a tragic love story leading to the career, success, and party nightlife of Side B.
• Tracks 6-10 Side B: Intimate and braggadocios, exploring lust, life-threatening issues, Miami temptations, acid trips, materialistic desires, and fantasies of a prepubescent billionaire
The first half of canna&cid starts in motion: club nights, short romances, international links, and diaspora energy. There’s joy, flirtation, freedom, and rhythm. It feels good. It looks good. It’s working—for a while.
But something shifts.
By the second half, that energy hasn’t dropped—it’s ramped. The vibe changes: lust replaces love, indulgence replaces intention, and detachment replaces intimacy. It’s faster, harder, colder. Relationships are more like flashbacks. Everything’s louder but somehow less present.
Still, the tempo never falls off. The album ends at full speed—on “Benz Truck”—with the kind of energy that usually opens a project. It’s not reflection. It’s propulsion. The motion’s still there, but something at the core has gone quiet.
You’re not watching someone fall (in love).
You’re watching them accelerate—with nothing left to lose.
This album doesn’t crash. It burns through.
It’s still moving—driven by the void.
